Lauren ~ 18 Months

Here are a couple pictures my sister sent me of our youngest niece, Lauren, at 18 months. However, she won't be the youngest for long.:) With Debbie and Nathan having a girl in August and Britt and Sean having another bundle in December... Our families are growing... I think she is a doll!! Lauren and I "talk" on the phone several times a week, She always has lots to say.:)

Styling in her "Toque" as we call them in Canada.:)

It's been way to long.....

I can not believe it has been over a month since my last post. I guess it has been rather busy around here ... the beautiful weather always seems to bring a crazy schedule with it.:) I have a feeling this post will be filled with lots of random news and catching up. I don't keep a diary or anything, so I use my blog to keep track of the "major" events, etc.
Michael's face is healing slowly, some progress has been made, but a lot more to go. He is due for a check up soon, so we will see what they say.
We are rather sad that we did not get our garden this year, however, I did plant a few flowers.:) We have two pots that look like this one, plus some others, and a lovely fern I have been enjoying...

We did make it out to a local strawberry patch and the results were a couple fresh pies and lots of freezer jam.:) We have also enjoyed grilling out a couple times already, along with fresh watermelons!!

Our church was recently given some lovely matching furniture for the front of our sanctuary. That was a big blessing to us and an answer to prayer... You can click here and it will take you to an album where you can see pictures if you like.

I think the last "catching-up"  thing I'll mention in this post is that I was able to get  a job at a local fine arts school teaching piano and voice lessons. I am very excited about the opportunity it gives me and it's nice to be doing something I enjoy. I  get to work with some pretty cool people too.... Hopefully it will pick up enough in the fall I might be able to drop a house cleaning job or two.:) On their web site they have a little bio of all their staff you can click here to see mine.

PS. I thought I would give Tickle Photography a bit of advertizing. If you are around this area and ever need an awesome photographer, he is the man for you! He did the picture for my bio and you can check out some of his work on his blog, www.ticklephotography.wordpress.com.
